Modesto Snapshots: Old Courthouse

The old, ornate coourthouse stood where the county offices stand today at I Street, between 12th and 11th Streets. In this photo, Rogers Fountain is very clearly in view. The fountain, which was donated in memory of members of the Rogers family, was a landmark in Modesto for many years. For a color view of the old courthouse click here.
